Glossary of terms
- Additive Colour - A Colour model/space where by white and black light are mixed to achieve a colour tone.
- Autoflash - Flash will go off automatically when needed.
- Alpha Channel - This mask channel has three Green, Red, and Blue image channels which can be used to isolate a certain area of an image in order for the computer to perform operations on that certain area. Alpha channels are used to describe silhouettes that have soft edges.
- Array Camera - Is a digital camera that uses a large CCD chip that senses the whole image at one time only compared to scanning the image one row of pixels at a time.
- Bit-Mapped - Are images that represent the artwork as a grid of coloured dots called Pixels. Paint and image-editing programs such as Photoshop and Fireworks are bit-mapped images.
